We all want to be with our families over the holidays especially us at HomeAideLLC, and that sometimes requires traveling . Traveling can be very stressful, uncomfortable, and may cause you to be sick. Through much research and considering all conditions, we have compiled a list of things to take into account when embarking on the holiday travel season.

  • Take vitamin supplements such as AirBorne and Emergen-c. Also visit your health foods store and ask them about super food powder that gives your health a super boost.
  • Carry sanitizing wipes with you and use on EVERYTHING you come in contact with! And wash your hands every chance you get.
  • Do everything you are in control of to make yourself comfortable.
  • Wear comfortable clothes. Be comfortable, clean, and neat. This will make you look and feel great.
  • Bring your own blanket because sometimes airlines don’t provide them.
  • Bring plenty of entertainment from books to tablets and computers to magazines; don’t count on the airline to provide it for you.
  • Just check your bag. Yes, it’s more costly, but it lets you have your hands free, you don’t have to stress over watching a bag, and you don’t have to worry about storing it on the plane.
  • Get a lot of rest the night before your departure. This strengthens your immune system and strengthens your body’s defenses preventing you from getting sick.
  • Talk to your doctor. If you frequently visit your doctor, they will know the best advice and travel tips for you. Also keep all of your most important medications with you in your carry-on, just in case you need it.
  • While preparing for your trip, play your trip out in your head. This will help you anticipate your trip and prevent you from being overwhelmed, and it will help you predict any mishaps that may happen.
  • If you need, make special arrangements. If you have a pre-existing disability make sure you notify your airline and hotel in advance! This will guarantee you have the best arrangements and everything you need available to you during the busy holiday season.
  • Drink LOTS of fluids. Bottled water is your best option. Staying hydrated will keep you energy level up, keep you alert, and help you feel better overall.

We wish you all the safest of travels, and heres to a wonderful holiday season. Here is to staying healthy, being prepared, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!
